In May of this year we posted a report covering Lenovo's invention that related to keyboard hand grips for a tablet computer. While it was an inventive idea, it was certainly a non-conventional one. The more popular mobile solution for a tablet and keyboard combination involves a hybrid notebook tablet. Well, until now that is. Samsung has invented a tablet with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Samsung's patent details how they worked hard to add the keyboard and yet slim down their tablet so that the keyboard wouldn't be adding bulk to their design. It's evident that the industry is trying to find a portable design to replace or at least challenge the traditional notebook. The idea is to provide users who love their notebook keyboards with a tablet styled solution. Will Samsung's new tablet design fly? Only time will tell.
